National Women Empowerment & Rehabilitation Organization
National Women Empowerment and Rehabilitation Organization (NWERO) is a women-led not-for-profit duly registered non-governmental organization established in 2010 to cater to the needs of marginalized communities with a holistic community-based approach to strengthen a vibrant local and sustainable women leadership movement in South Sudan to uphold their voices to ending violence against women and girls and strengthen poverty reduction, and enhancement through women’s household economic security transformation. NWERO has six (6) priority areas of intervention focusing on Women’s Leadership, Gender Base Violence prevention, economic empowerment, sexual reproductive health (SRH), Peacebuilding, and climate change risk mitigation with a forecast vision of striving for a society free from all forms of violence and discrimination.
