Our mission is to empower, advance and protect the rights of vulnerable women and Adolescent girls to ensure gender equality, equity and the need to recognize, appreciate and strengthen their capacity to contribute to nation building and development in the Republic of South Sudan.

National Women Empowerment and Rehabilitation Organization (NWERO) is a women-led not-for-profit duly registered non-governmental organization established in 2010 to cater to the needs of marginalized communities with a holistic community-based approach to strengthen a vibrant local and sustainable women leadership movement in South Sudan to uphold their voices to ending violence against women and girls and strengthen poverty reduction, and enhancement through women’s household economic security transformation.

NWERO key activities on HIV/AIDS prevention and response among others includes; HIV testing and counseling, condom usage promotion and distribution, community awareness on prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections

WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE (WASH)

Water is life” and many communities in South Sudan do not have access to clean and safe drinking water as they only depend on surface water from unprotected water sources.
